EDITORIAL POLICY_Review system
Review system
Historia Agraria will acknowledge the receipt of any original manuscripts received, and the Editorial Committee will reply within a period of no more than six months. Those articles that successfully negotiate this initial stage involving an internal review by the Committee will be sent to independent anonymous reviewers, who will decide upon the convenience of an article’s publication and, as appropriate, will make any pertinent recommendations or suggestions. Those articles commissioned by the Editorial Committee and the ones appearing in monographic issues, coordinated by guest editors, will also be assessed anonymously and reviewed by the journal’s editors.
The process involves a double-blind review, which means that both the authors and the reviewers remain anonymous. The decision to publish an article may be conditional upon the introduction of modifications in the original manuscript, pursuant to the criteria of the reviewers and the editor. The recommendations they make will be passed on to the authors by the editor or associate editors. The final version will be submitted to the editor in electronic format. The editor will inform authors of their manuscript’s definitive acceptance for publication in the journal and, as appropriate, the issue in which it will appear.
Historia Agraria publishes its editorial procedures on the CWTS platform Responsible Journals.
